Day - 30 - Intentions are important

 

إنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ

Our actions intend on our intentions

Day 29 - Importance of Sunnah

 

مَنْ اَطَاعَنِىْ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ

Whoever obeys me will enter paradise – (Al Bukhari)

فَمَنْ رَغِبَ عَنْ سُنَّتِي فَلَيْسَ مِنِّ

Whoever turns away from my sunnah is not from me. (Sunan An-Nasai)

Day 28 - Modesty

  

صلى الله عليه وسلمقـال رسـول الله 

اَلْحَيَاءُ شُعْبَةٌ مِّنَ الْاِيْمَانِ

Modesty is a branch of faith – (Al Bukhari)

What is modesty?

Modesty as a sense of shame or shyness in human beings is a shrinking of the soul from bad behaviour, a quality that prevents one from behaving badly towards others or encouraging others to behave badly towards you.  Islamic ethics considers modesty as more than just a question of how a person dresses, and more than just modesty in front of people; rather it is reflected in a Muslim’s speech, dress, and conduct: in public in regards to people, and in private in regards to God.  Any talk of modesty, therefore, must begin with the heart, not the hemline, as the Prophet of Mercy said, ‘Modesty is part of faith,' and that part of faith must lie in the heart

Day 27 - Deception / Scamming

 

 صلى الله عليه وسلمقـال رسـول الله 

مَنْ غَشَّنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا ‏‏

Whoever deceives us is not one of us.

(Sahih Muslim)

Day 26 - Be conscious of Allah...

 

اِتَّقِ اللهَ حَيْثُمَا كُنْتَ

Be conscious of Allah where ever you are – (At-Tirmidhi)

- this means we should always try to make the right choices as we know Allah always sees us.

Day 25 - Drink when sitting not standing

 

It's getting easier now isn't it?

 صلى الله عليه وسلمقـال رسـول الله 

لَا يَشْرَ بَنَّ اَحَدٌ مِّنْكمْ قَائِمًا

None of you should drink while standing – (Al Muslim)

Day 22 - Prayer Prayer Prayer

 

Two easy Hadith for today about salah :)

صَلُّوا الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا

Observe prayer at its prescribed time – (Al-Muslim)

مِفْتَاحُ الْجَنَّةِ الصَّلَاةُ وَمِفْتَاحُ الصَّلَاةِ الْوُضُوءُ

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The key to Paradise is prayer, and the key to prayer is ablution.” (Tirmidhi)

Day 21 - The best among you...

 

 صلى الله عليه وسلمقـال رسـول الله 

خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَه‏ُ

The best amongst you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it – (Al-Bukhari)

Day 20 - Make up for your bad deeds with good

 وَأَتْبِعْ السَّيِّئَةَ الْحَسَنَةَ تَمْحُهَا

Follow up a bad deed with a good deed which will wipe it out. [At-Tirmidhi]

Day 19 - Dua is worship

A nice easy one for today. Make lots of dua for everyone you know and all the Muslims afflicted by hardship.

 صلى الله عليه وسلمقـال رسـول الله 

الدُّعَاءُ هُوَ العِبَادَةُ

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

"Dua (Supplication) is worship."

(at-Tirmidhi)

Day 18 - Thank the people = thanking Allah

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: He who does not thank the people is not thankful to Allah. [Sunan Abi Dawud]

النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ 

لاَ يَشْكُرُ اللَّهَ مَنْ لاَ يَشْكُرُ النَّاسَ 

Day 15 - A good word

 

 صلى الله عليه وسلمقـال رسـول الله 

‏َالْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ صَدَقَةٌ

It is also charity to utter a good word.

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Day 14 - Burp - Sneeze - Excuseeeeeeee me !

 

Salaam all,

Have you ever been in an awkward situation where someone burps really loudly or sneezes and the whole room shakes?!

Well this is what we are supposed to do during those situations:

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: "Should any of you burp of sneeze, let him stifle the sound."

(stop himself from doing it loudly)

Day 13 - Are we safe?

 

 صلى الله عليه وسلمقـال رسـول الله 

‏ الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ

The true Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hands the Muslims are safe.

Now for the hadith of the day:

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When one of you eats, let him eat with his right hand. When he drinks, let him drink with his right hand. Verily, the devil eats and drinks with his left hand.” (Sahih Muslim)

 صلى الله عليه وسلمقـال رسـول الله

إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِيَمِينِهِ وَإِذَا شَرِبَ فَلْيَشْرَبْ بِيَمِينِهِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ

رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ

Day 11 - Do not harm others!

Salaam everyone,

An easy short hadith today we can easily memorise. Did you all manage to get up to date with last weeks hadith over the weekend? If you are struggling, then leave the others and just start again from now.

Todays hadith is of an important topic. Harming people, we can do this in so many different ways - using our words and sometimes using actions. Sometimes we find it easier harming our family more than other people like our brothers and sisters. We need to try to stop ourselves. Another important point to make is that if our brother or sisters hurt us we shouldn't do it back. That is the better person.

 صلى الله عليه وسلمقـال رسـول الله

لَا ضَرَرَ وَلَا ضِرَارَ

Do not harm others or return harm to others (if they harmed you) (Ibn Majah)

Day 8 - Something smells fishy....

Salaam all,

A good lesson to learn today. If anything happens try to solve the issue without blaming others. The Prophet (s) warns against suspicion.

The Messenger of Allah (s) said:

"Beware of suspicion, for it is the most deceitful of thought."

(Al Bukhari and Muslim)

 صلى الله عليه وسلمقـال رسـول الله

إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ، فَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ أَكْذَبُ الْحَدِيثِ

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَمُسْلِمٌ

Day 7 - Allah is beautiful and love beauty...

Day 6 - Your heart and deeds matter the most

 Salaam guys, no updates for day 5? Everyone still following?

I love todays hadith. It's so beautiful mashaAllaah.

Sometimes people care too much about whether we have the best trainers or best mobile phones or cars but this hadith tells us that Allah doesn't look at any of that. He only looks at our pure hearts and good deeds so lets do some more good deeds so we can go to jannah and have rivers made out of chocolate and trees made of lollypops inshaAllaah :)

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: “Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and actions.” (Sahih Muslim)

Day 5 - What is your heart like?
