Day 8 - Something smells fishy....

Salaam all,

A good lesson to learn today. If anything happens try to solve the issue without blaming others. The Prophet (s) warns against suspicion.

The Messenger of Allah (s) said:

"Beware of suspicion, for it is the most deceitful of thought."

(Al Bukhari and Muslim)

 صلى الله عليه وسلمقـال رسـول الله

إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ، فَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ أَكْذَبُ الْحَدِيثِ

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَمُسْلِمٌ

Day 6 - Your heart and deeds matter the most

 Salaam guys, no updates for day 5? Everyone still following?

I love todays hadith. It's so beautiful mashaAllaah.

Sometimes people care too much about whether we have the best trainers or best mobile phones or cars but this hadith tells us that Allah doesn't look at any of that. He only looks at our pure hearts and good deeds so lets do some more good deeds so we can go to jannah and have rivers made out of chocolate and trees made of lollypops inshaAllaah :)

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: “Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and actions.” (Sahih Muslim)

Day 5 - What is your heart like?

 Dear all, lovely to see you all on zoom. MashaAllaah you are all doing so well!

Todays Hadith is good reminder for us to keep reading and memorising Quran.

Here is hadith number 5:

The Messenger of Allah said: "Any heart lacking even a portion of the Quran is like a ruined house."

Day 4 - Don't be selfish! :)

Salaam all,

Day 4 already ! MashaAllaah. All of you need to watsapp me a recording of you reciting the last 3 hadith in English and in Arabic, I have heard Muhammad, Sumayya, Abdullaah, Abdur-Rahmaan and Sulaymaan - if you find the Arabic too hard then English is fine !

 

Now a great lesson for us all to learn. Think about ways maybe you can be more selfless and less selfish in your every day encounters with others be it family, friends or just people you see at the masjid for example. What examples can you think of? share in the comments.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

None of you [truly] believes until he loves for his brother that which he loves for himself. [Al-Bukhari] [Muslim]

Day 3 - Don't be hasty!!!!

Now for hadith challenge number 3. How many times do we rush and then do something and then end up doing it wrong? How many times do we think we know what to do without listening to instructions properly? How many times do we speak without thinking too and say the wrong thing? Lesson of today is think think think before doing or saying something!

Hadith Number 3:

Consideration is from Allah, and haste/recklessness is from Satan.” [alBayhaqi]

Haste mean excessive speed or urgency of movement or action; hurry.

Day 2 - 3 Signs of a hypocrite

2. when he gives his word, he breaks it,

3. and when he is given a trust, he is unfaithful."

RAMADAN CHALLENGE 2023

Dear my AlKhor Kids,

So you're up for a new unique challenge? One you have not done before?

MashaAllaah you are dedicated. :)

So this challenge has many competitors - so you all have to work extra hard: Umamah, Misha, Nusaybah, Umar, Saarah, Zakariya, Muhammad, Maryam, Suraiya, Mus'ab, Sumayya, Durrah, Abdullaah, Abdur-Rahmaan, Sulaymaan, Ismaeel and Sakeenah!

Each day I will be posting a short hadith in Arabic and in English. I will also post up a voice note with the hadith in Arabic and in English too to help you.

As the hadiths are quite short I would like you to try memorise them in Arabic as well as English but if you do find that a little too difficult then just memorise them in English. Once you complete your daily challenge you reply to this post and write DAY 1: MISSION COMPLETE. :) 

All the best guys. The first challenge will be up on Thursday inshaAllaah so be ready :)
